Job Description
Ideal Candidate will possess experience in the following areas:
Outside Plant Engineering work of Fiber/Copper OSP projects, including but not limited to BAU (Business as Usual) work, Routine Work, Relocation, Civil Work and new development.
Able to perform site surveys, including but not limited to field measurements and placement of hand hole and access cabinets (FDH, VRAD, DLC, RT, etc.)
Experience in designing aerial and sub-structure systems (e.g. direct buried, underground, directional bore, etc.) for both copper and fiber cable plants.
Able to attend any pre-construction meeting with the client and with local government agencies
Experience in OSP engineering and workmanship standards of ILEC and CLEC service providers
Good organizational and communications skills
Experience/Knowledge of Right-of-Way (ROW) and easement documentation
Knowledge in Autocad, Microstation, Opti-lite, ARES, IDDS, BST CAD experience a plus
Skills and Qualifications
No prior experience required
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Candidates on OPT, TN and H1B visas are welcome to apply.
Telecom experience in any of the telecom field (either wireless or wireline) is a plus.
Must be willing to undergo training program in TX or CA (training is conducted almost every month).
