Job Description

 

Install, commission and integrate Nokia UMTS and GSM equipment. Support the Operations and Maintenance Node B Network.  Perform testing of transmission link (T1) and loading of UMTS software and upgrade.  Correct deficiencies during site inspection.  Write specifications, schedules and technical reports and control schedules and budgets.  Responsible for developing/producing economical and timely work orders and working drawings for outside plant telecommunication facilities (e.g., aerial and buried copper and fiber facilities, aerial and underground structures, transmission design, electronics design and coordination).  Receive, review and make necessary revisions for the permit drawing (Conduit Drawing/Traffic Control Plan).  Perform necessary field measurements for conduit/cable placement for the revision requested.

Requirements

 

Master’s or equivalent in Electronics, Communications or Telecommunications Engineering.  No experience required.  (Master’s maybe substituted with Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of work experience as Telecommunications Engineer, Outside Plant Engineer, Project Consultant or Engineer.)

Hours

9 AM to 5 PM, 40 hours/week

SALARY 

$75,500/year
