Prior to coming to GW in 2014, Chuck spent 34 years in Engineering and Construction with Centel, Contel, GTE, Genuity, and Verizon throughout the Midwest and Southern parts of the country. His last assignment in Verizon was Director Network Engineering for the Texas Region. Other assignments included, Director FTTP Program, Director Access Design for Genuity, and Director Staff Support for Engineering, Transmission Design, & OSP Construction for GTE.
Chuck also served as an active member on the board of directors at the University of Texas Arlington’s school of Engineering for 3+ years.

Vice President, Engineering
44 years of experience in telecommunications, where he has held positions with Contel/GTE/Verizon as Engineer, Engineering and Construction Manager, Director - Network Planning – Access and IOF, General Manager Infrastructure Provisioning, and Director - OSP Engineering Support. Work following retirement from Verizon includes Director – Telco, Engineering for Wellsco / Infotech prior to joining GW. During his career he has been responsible for Regional budgets in excess of 100 million dollars with an associated combined (contractor and employee) FTE headcount above 400.

Graduated with degrees in Electrical Engineering (1989) and Electronics & Communications Engineering (1991) from Mapúa Institute of Technology, Philippines.
Wide experience in telecommunication products and services for 25 years in the fields of transmission systems (satellite, microwave, optical); planning and engineering of data communications and SONET; and cellular wireless services from installation, integration operations, fault management, up to troubleshooting.
Project management of implementation of major cellular networks.

Vice President, Construction
Paul Erwin joined GW Communications as the Director of Operations for Houston and became Vice President of Construction in 2016.
He has over 20 years of telecommunications industry experience including management experience at AT&T. Prior to joining GW, Paul’s responsibilities and experiences include network operations and maintenance, network construction, strategic sourcing, contracts management, human resources administration and leadership of teams of more than 200 full-time employees.
Paul earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University in 1993.
